Nissei...A Half Century of Leadership in the Field of Injection Molding Machines |

We have embarked on a full-scale production and sales of injection molding machines since 1957. At the dawn of the plastic industry in Japan, we have developed the horizontal injection molding machines with our original technology, which led to the creation of our special-purpose machines, such as 2-color and blow molding machines, and invention of the hybrid machines. In 1960, we exported AU-1 Type, the first machine sold outside of Japan, to the United States, and our legacy continues today. In January 2006, we became the first company to achieve cumulative sales of 100,000 injection molding machines. |

Nissei offers a total support for injection molding and has been taking an active role in researching and developing the new materials. For instance, we have invented a new high-functional composite material made from carbon nanotube and resin. This technology was developed by adopting “The Carbon Nanofiber-Based Composite Material Project,” which was conducted by METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) in Japan as an integral part of its “Focus 21 Project.” R&D of “Nanotechnology," which was conducted by MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology-Japan) as a part of its “Intellectual Cluster Creation Project,” also played an important role in this developmental process, combining with our core technologies accumulated over many years of experience as an injection molding machine manufacturer. High-performance properties (strength, conductibility, thermal conductivity, sliding property, etc.), which cannot be achieved by resins, can be added to the material, expanding its potential in many fields, such as automotive parts, electronics, office supplies, precision instruments, medical equipments, and so forth.
