OPERATION TIP #3:
Energy Conservation for Machines and Factories
Utilizing waste heat is the key to energy conservation
1. For injection molding machines
Install the heater band covers.
Even a thin cover will help conserve energy.
Install heat insulator on the bottom for maximizing the effect.
Use the insulation plate for mold…increases the quality and yield.
2. For material dryers
Dryers:
Since the heat dryers create heats in a factory, it is better to discharge the exhaust heat outside during summer time and blow it inside during winter time to save the cost on air conditioning.
Installing heat insulation:
Installing the heat insulation material around the tank has great benefit in saving energy for both dryer and air conditioner.
Switching to different type of dryers:
Dehumidifier and vacuum type dryers are more effective and create less exhaust heat.
As alternative to dryers:
- Buy dehumidified materials.
- Get help from the material vendor (use damp-proof packing and inject dehumidified air).
- Install gas cleaner.
