Importance of Using the Grease Specified by NISSEI

To Our Valuable Customers:
Thank you very much for your patronage of Nissei Injection Molding Machines!
We are informing you about the importance of using the specified grease for your Nissei Injection Molding Machine to prevent from possible damages.
We have received some reports that there have been some issues with grease feeding and gnawing on ball screws when the grease other than specified by Nissei was used on the Electric Injection Molding Machines. The grease is specifically designed for Nissei Electric Injection Molding Machines, and some problems will quickly arise by substituting it with a different grease. If you consider purchasing the grease in the future, please contact Nissei America, and we will deliver the correct one to you.

If you wish to purchase the Nissei specified grease, please give us call us at (800)693-3231 (Parts Department).

<Nissei Designated Grease>
Currently, we have 2 types:
Lube NS2 (2)
Lube NS1

NS2 has been discontinued. However, mixing those greases (NS1 & NS2) is safe and will NOT cause any problems or damages to your machine.

<About Nissei specified Grease>
This grease is designed to provide adequate lubrication for the ball screws and toggle link sections of Nissei Electric Injection Molding Machines. It was co-developed by Nissei and Lube, Inc., exclusively for Nissei molding machines in order to maximize the lifetime of parts as well as providing a smoother auto-greasing.
We use this grease for our Electric Injection Molding Machines, and it is the official designated grease for maintenances as well. When generic ones are used, there will be a great possibility of having problems in the auto-grease unit, and the grease may not reach to the ball screw or toggle link sections, causing gnawing or unusual wears. Even if the grease reaches the ball screws, it will shorten the life of parts. Generic greases are cheaper; however, most of them are not suitable in high-load areas. It will accelerate wears on the ball screws and toggle links, and it costs more to replace them.
As a result of our years of research on the ball screw designs, its load amount, and the surrounding temperature, we developed this special grease in order to provide the best performance and protections to the ball screw and toggle link sections.
In addition, it works well on the auto-greasing system by improving the flowing capability of the grease. According to our research, generic greases do not meet the conditions mentioned above. Thus, when these are used even as temporary substitute, it can create a build up or shorten the lifetime on heavy-load parts by mixing two different greases (authentic and generic ones) inside the pipes.

<Difference in Service between Nissei designated and generic grease>

In order to provide a better maintenance service, Nissei keeps sales records when a customer purchases the grease bottles. We are unable to provide warranty services when a customer purchases grease from other makers or vendors since we do not have any records of the type of grease that was used and service for any problems. All the service calls for any problems due to the grease that was NOT purchased from Nissei will be charged, even if the machine is covered under the warranty period or used the generic grease as a temporary solution. If you have any questions, regards, or need to purchase authentic Nissei grease, please feel free to contact Nissei America, Inc. at (714) 693-3000 or write us to info@nisseiamerica.com.
